NEW MILFORD — Weeks after a fire damaged the New Milford High School roof, Belfor, a recovery and restoration contractor, has been working daily to remove water-damaged drywall, detach lockers and pack classroom materials.

The New Milford Town Council was updated on Belfor’s progress at Monday’s council meeting. New Milford Mayor Pete Bass said spoke to Belfor during a Sunday visit to the high school.

On the second floor, Bass said Belfor has removed water damage and installed some drywall; finished cleaning and packing contents in cabinets that will be detached to remove more water-damaged drywall; and …….
